Brief positioning of project
|
Construction of the modern transport consolidating center for processing mainly container freight traffic on water, railway and motor transport in the territory of Samara Region. The designed STCC will meet international standards in the field of processing and storage of freights. Each of STCC terminals will include class A storage rooms. The Project objectives include those of the public and of the private sector. The basic purpose of the Project from standpoint of the public sector is development of transport infrastructure objects of Samara Region and efficiency increase of container carriage of freights, including:
— Development of transport and logistic infrastructure of Samara Region;
— Increased efficiency of internal and international multimodal cargo carriage through perfection of interaction of various transport types;
— Attraction of international transit freight traffic;
—Development of foreign trade and inter-regional relations of Samara Region;
— Increase in efficiency of operations of transport industry and its contribution to the gross regional product due to creation of modern transport and logistic infrastructure;
— Increase of budgetary efficiency of transport and logistic infrastructure of Samara Region;
— Ability to use the favorable geographical location and economic potential of the Region and to achieve maximal corresponding return;
— Provision of effective monitoring, analysis and regulation of the regional market of transport and logistic services by means of development and implementation of information and technological systems of provision of freight transportation on various transport types.
From the standpoint of the private sector, the basic purpose of the project implementation is creation of a modern automated transport and logistic complex with class A warehouse areas which will allow to provide a high quality of rendered services for a competitive price, as well as payback and required returns on financial investments.
