|
Creation of Irkutsk agglomeration is a complex process to reveal and realize concrete projects, and it has some certain priority directions of development. The project of Irkutsk — Angarsk — Shelekhov agglomeration will contribute to improvement of regional demographic situation, create higher-paid jobs and generate better living environment in the region. Production efficiency at the enterprises of the agglomeration, including small and middle businesses, will increase. Formation of a powerfully developing agglomerative unit in the southeast of Siberia, which attracts and retains its population on a background of the general population decrease, will create a support for further strengthening of Russia’s positions in this part of the world. Irkutsk-Angarsk-Shelekhov urban agglomeration project: principal objects:
• Modernization of transport infrastructure
• Formation of a transport framework of the agglomeration
• Construction and reconstruction of water supply and water disposal objects
• Construction of the international airport
• modern logistic and warehouse center
• international scientific and educational center
• special economic area of tourism and recreation type
• special economic area of idustrial type
• construction of new neighborhoods (5 million sq. m)
• Large shopping and entertainment complexes
The project of Irkutsk-Angarsk-Shekekhov agglomeration is the most developed one in the Russian Federation, development of the scheme of territorial mapping of Irkutsk agglomeration is in progress, negotiations with potential investors are carried on.
